We’ve recently introduced the role of Area Lead in various teams across the Museum to support Team Managers with the day to day activities within their teams and also to provide career development opportunities for staff.
Following an internal recruitment exercise, Anna James (Workers Institute), Pam Woodall (Rolfe St Café), Jim Shakespeare (Fish & Chip shop) and Joy Oliver (Bottle & Glass) successfully applied for Area Lead positions. Demi Whitehouse will also be the Area Lead for a new “response” team which will see the introduction of specialist, event-related, Food and Drink sales at our events and during busy periods.
Steven Hearn and Dan Williams are undertaking the role of Area Lead in the Domestic & Cultural Life team on a job-share basis within Visitor Engagement on a fixed term basis, while Lindsey Butler is on secondment to the role of Team Manager for Industry & Transport.
