Earlier this year, the Historic Character and Costume Working Group reviewed and updated the Museum’s Costume Policy to make it more inclusive and relevant to Forging Ahead.
The team would like to brief all staff on the Costume Policy and inform all that the request forms, Costume Request Form and Specialist Costume Request form, are now available.
Additionally, if you require historic costume, you will need to complete one of the forms and have this approved by your supervisor or manager, who will forward it to the Costume Team.
Former Research and Interpretation Coordinator, Claire Robinson, prepared an informative presentation on the new policy. The presentation also includes the style guide Hayley and her team are working towards, and include advice/inspiration on hairstyles and accessories. Please read this thoroughly.
