Great news: we’ve achieved a score of 93% in our most recent VisitEngland quality assessment, which is 2% higher than last year’s assessment and means we’ll be nominated for a Gold Accolade!
The assessment scores the Museum against a number of set criteria. Compared to last year’s results, improvements were seen in arrival (up 5%), cleanliness (up 8%) and staff (up 1%).
VisitEngland’s scoring system is an important measure of success and helps us to benchmark how the things we’re doing in the Museum are being received by visitors. We’ve seen progress in our assessment every year. Achieving such a good score is down to a great team effort – thank you and well done, everyone!
As always, the feedback given will be used to continue to improve our offer for all visitors. We know that our score for pre-arrival and retail will be improved when we reintroduce a guidebook, for example.
