Mon 7 Aug – works commencing on Woodside Library

We’re pleased to share that from this Monday, 7 Aug, the Woodside Library build contract will start.

The company (Gravitas) will begin to bring in some heavy duty equipment from Monday. As such, the Museum will need to put in some temporary measures to ensure that all colleagues, contractors and guests are safe.

The following measures will be in place until 10:00 Monday:

• Access to the new town will be severely limited.
• There will be no access via the street to the fronts of the shop.
• Staff should access their shops via the rear doors, and the street from the 1930s street and under Hartills arch.
• Should staff need to access the town, the Duty Manager should be called to provide support and access.
• Access to the Albion Road path and roadway will be severely limited.
• Staff should access the Museum via the road that leads to Folkes Park and the WI.
• Extra care should be taken when accessing the Canalside offices.
