It has been a very busy two weeks since the Elephant and Castle officially opened on Tuesday 16 August. It is a very welcome addition to the Museum and a result of years of hard work from the whole Museum team.
Andrew Lovett, Chief Executive, shares: “The Elephant and Castle is the first building where we have stepped into living memory, which is the focus for our Forging Ahead development. I want to thank everyone for working so hard and so expertly to make this a reality. I hope this first building shows the quality we will achieve with the new developments – a stage upon which we will be creating new storylines.
“It’s a tremendous feeling being able to walk in, enjoy the atmosphere and admire the beautiful recreation. I hope you all take a moment to celebrate this achievement, made possible by our fantastic team.”
