Colleague pick up and drop off – update

Following some feedback about safety on the car park off Tipton Road, please can all colleagues remember that drop offs must be made inside the car park after the barriers. This is particularly important in the morning as deliveries and other vehicles also need to access the Museum by the brown gates.

Any cars or taxis dropping off must be instructed to do this inside the barriers, and not on the slip road or in the cobbled area by the pedestrian gate.

The exit barrier will be open before 10am so that any car or taxi dropping off colleagues can safely turn and leave easily. If for any reason the barrier is closed, you are responsible for making sure your chaperone has exited the car park by holding your colleague pass against the black box on the right of the exit barrier.
