Dates: Saturday 20 July* – Sunday 1 September
Concept: This Summer we are trialling a new approach to the 6 week holiday by testing out a “campaign led” approach. This means that instead of relying on a theme, we’re going to rely on our marketing of the core offer, with some additional demonstrations, characters and activities.
We will have increased demonstrations across the site for JH Lavender Aluminium Foundry, Cricket Field Brickworks, Lea Road Infant Welfare Centre, Workers’ Institute tour and the Boat Dock tour. There will be increased activity including park games, street games and choir practice in Providence Chapel. We also have some new characters including Harry Ambrose (ice cream seller extraordinare!) and Barbara Brown who is off on a day out shopping in her Ford Model E.
