Thank you to everyone who participated in Red By Night! With the opening of our new Industrial Quarter – what a night it was! We’ve had some great feedback from visitors:
- 90% rated the experience as ‘excellent’ or ‘good’.
- 85% said they learned something new about Black Country heritage.
- 72% said they learned something new about the environmental impact of industry
- 89% said they felt it was an immersive experience.

- “Your staff members help transform us back to the times where these things were necessary to survive. I really appreciate how they each embody their roles and take it seriously. I learnt a lot about anchor making and chain link making thank you so much”
- “The enthusiasm of everyone. The street theatre/entertainers. Seeing everywhere lit up.”
- “Seeing all the live demonstrations – nail making, the forge by the docks, the casting, and the brick making!”
- “The variety of events on and different things to see – it was great to see it at night as well!”
- “Have the red by night event slightly later in the year, to give you a bit more daylight to see things. Alternatively, a bit more street lighting perhaps.”
- “We would have liked more interaction from demonstrators.”
- “The food we wanted to buy had run out at 8.30pm when we stopped by. A restock would have been great.”
