Cleaning & Maintenance is the latest Museum team to adopt period costume.
It’s been a challenge to find the team a costume that looks authentic and is practical to work in, both indoors and outdoors and in all types of weather!
The men are wearing thick canvas trousers, grandad shirts, waistcoats and flat caps. The ladies have been provided with bib & brace, tan shirts, polos and head scarves to give a 1940s feel. All have work boots and for colder, wetter weather, wax jackets.
The team love their new outfits. We’re sure you’ll agree, they look fab!
