1940s weekend – staff survey

Hello all,

We want to share some of the highlights from our 1940s visitor feedback survey!

• 93% satisfaction rate (with 71% excellent)
• 84% learned something new about the 1940s
• 91% thought the event was an immersive experience, with 83% saying they felt they had an opportunity to participate.

Qualitative feedback included:

• The music: piano and accordion players who encourage visitors to join in as well as the various acts (Bluebird Belles, D Day Darlings, Flanagan and Allen)
• Atmosphere: the re-enactors, people dressed up
• “An excellent venue and must be one of the best 1940s events in the Country”
• “The positive attitude of the staff at every activity to ensure you got the most out of your visit.”
• “The fantastic new 1940/50’s street and the atmosphere created by the people in the themed clothing”
• “Car parking was difficult”
• “ A schedule of activities could have been offered”
