What does it mean?
Further to the discussions which took place earlier in the summer, it has now been decided that the whole site will be open to staff between the hours of 0800 and 1800 only on a year-round basis with effect from Monday 31 October.
In the mornings, staff should not access the building before the Duty Manager arrives.
In the evenings, the only exception to this will be where the IT Manager needs to work late due to the nature of his role, but this does not mean other staff can stay late because Andy is here.
If there is a reason where you need to stay late unexpectedly, you must contact the Duty Manager immediately to make them aware that you will need to work slightly later, but this is to be by exception rather than as a regular occurrence. The lone working policy is attached for your reference.
What if I still have concerns?
There were some reservations expressed by some staff around the requirement to work later for a variety of reasons; your line managers have been made aware of your concerns and will address these with you individually to try and resolve these.
